From Hollywood heavyweights like Kate Winslet to small screen stunners like Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara, the 2011 Emmy Awards were packed with A-list talent. SheKnows was front and center to chat with them all on the red carpet.

Despite the blazing heat and the back up at the photo line, Hollywood's hottest stars of the silver screen braved the hustle and bustle of the red carpet to talk to SheKnows.

Modern Family

Mike and Molly's Melissa McCarthy, who took home Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy, stopped by our spot to dish on the gorgeous purple gown she designed herself and what she plans on doing with her statue. The Bridesmaids star also let us in on what we can expect from her upcoming sequel to Knocked Up, the Judd Apatow flick, This is Forty.

We also chatted up almost the entire cast of Modern Family whose show took home five Emmys.

Glamour girl Sarah Hyland dished on how she designed her own dress with Project Runway winner Christian Siriano and lamented how exhausted she was from running around the red carpet. Her younger sis on the show, 13-year-old Ariel Winter, showed off her mature looking lace gown while telling us how her character will be maturing this season as well.

Jimmy FallonThe highlight of the evening however came when former SNL star Jimmy Fallon bypassed the photo line to give SheKnows a shout out and let us in on some exicting appearances coming up on his show this season.

"If you're a pink Floyd fan youre going to dig some stuff that we're doing," said Fallon. "And Timberlake is coming on in November, so I'm sure we'll think of something fun."

Jimmy also gave us an amazing rendition of his famous Robert Pattinson/Edward Cullen impersonation. "I'm bothered!"

Modern Family’s kids mature; Alex “might kiss a boy”

As Modern Family heads into season 3, SheKnows chatted with the kids in the cast to see how their lives are progressing on and off screen.

Sarah Hyland is the glamour girl. Ariel Winter has the smarts. Nolan Gould is a jokester. And Rico Rodriguez  is, well, suave.

Modern Family Emmy Awards 2011

SheKnows chatted with Modern Family's four "kids" at the 2011 Emmy Awards this weekend and we were surprised to find out that they are quite similar to their stereotypical characters.

See what each had to say about this season…

Ariel Winter

Like her studious character, Ariel told SheKnows that in her free time, she's very focused on school.

"I'm still in school and I'm working really hard at it," Ariel told us. "I think education is incredibly important."

But this season we'll see some changes in Alex. Ariel tells us that for the first time, she and Sarah's boy-crazy character will actually have something in common.

"She might kiss a boy," Ariel revealed. "She might get some boyfriends. She might sit at the same table as her sister at lunch. She might be in the same class with her sister. They might have the same problems at school."

Insert "will" for the "mights" and we've got an interesting story line ahead! Off-screen, Ariel says Sarah also plays the big sister role.

"She has a different kind of life," says Ariel. "She has a boyfriend and she lives on her own. We definitely have a bond though. She helps me out with sister things and gives me advice."

Sarah Hyland

Bored, tired, and "over-it" are some words that come to mind when describing Sarah's demeanor on the Emmy carpet . But we have to hand it to the actress, it was like 100 degrees out there.

"I'm hungry," were the first words out of her mouth. "I'm about to pass out."

Sarah looked great despite her condition, and told SheKnows that she was excited about the dress she had designed with Project Runway's Christian Siriano.

"I love fashion," said Sarah.

Unlike her character though, who will be considering which college to attend this season, Sarah told us she's all done with school and just focusing on acting.

Up next: Nolan Gould gives details on the upcoming Thanksgiving episode >>

{pageBreak}

Nolan Gould

Looking a little lost, but very happy to be there, Nolan's positive attitude definitely rang true to his character Luke.

"I came from Alabama and started acting when I was three," Nolan told SheKnows. "It was my dream to be somewhere like this."

But like Luke, Nolan was anything but overwhelmed by the chaotic atmosphere, and immediately jumped straight into a hilarious story about this season.

"We had a Thanksgiving episode where we went pumpkin chucking," said Nolan. "On the Amazing Race they did that, except it came back and hit the girl in the face. Everyone warned us to be careful. We flung it and it came right back toward us. Me, Rico, Ty, Eric, and Sofia were all standing in the way and it flew over our head and hit a chain link fence. It was so scary. I went around saying that I deflected it with my mind."

Leave it to Luke, I mean Nolan, to put that kind of spin on a story!

Up Next: Rico Rodriquez tells us that Manny is the man!

{pageBreak}

Rico Rodriguez

The most adult-like of all the cast's kids is undoubtedly Rico as Manny. This was no different at the awards where the 13-year-old showed up sporting a Ralph Lauren suit and displaying his fledgling moustache.

When asked what we could expect from the young gentleman this season, Rico shot back, "What can't you expect?"

Oh, the possibilities are endless…

Tune in to ABC tonight for the season premiere of Modern Family, 9/8 c.

How fun would it be to have your real-life boyfriend cast as your on-screen love interest? Let's ask Modern Family's Sarah Hyland -- she knows all about it.

Modern Family has cast the latest love interest for Haley Dunphy and the man they chose might surprise you -- it just so happens to be Sarah Hyland's boyfriend.

Sarah Hyland's real-life boyfriend, High School Musical 3 star, Matt Prokop, has been cast as Haley's newest love interest, Ethan, according to confirmation from TV Guide.

Modern Family casts Cam's papa >>

So, how is his character introduced on the ABC comedy?

In true Modern Family fashion, it's all relative.

Ethan is making the move to town in order to attend college, plus he's the nephew of one of Claire Dunphy's friends.

Of course, it couldn't hurt to have mom introduce you to the new hottie, could it?

When theModern Family parents become involved there's never a dull moment. Do you think Ethan can handle the Dunphy family?

This isn't Sarah Hyland and Matt Prokop's first time appearing in a project together. The adorable pair appeared in Conception together and starred in Disney's Geek Charming.

That's not all. They'll also appear in Struck by Lightning, written by and starring Glee's Chris Colfer.

Modern Family is continuing to dominate during this year's awards season. The show recently picked up the comedy series award and episodic comedy award for "Caught in the Act" at the Writers Guild Awards.

We'll be keeping an eye out for Matt Prokop's first appearance. Head over to our comments section and sound off over the casting dish…

Sarah Hyland reveals shocking medical struggle

Sarah Hyland graces the upcoming June/July issue of Seventeen magazine and while she looks carefree on the summer-themed cover, Hyland reveals she's fighting a darker battle.

Sarah Hyland battles kidney disease, gets transplant.

We love Sarah Hyland in ABC's Modern Family. The 21-year-old actress plays a 16-year-old high school student who clashes with her parents, fights with her boyfriend and stresses about college. A rising star, Hyland lands the cover of the upcoming June/Julyissue of Seventeen magazine in a flirty, fun summer pose. While Hyland may seem carefree on the cover, she told Seventeen she's fighting a fatal disease called kidney dysplasia.

Kidney dysplasia occurs when a baby's kidneys do not develop normally and it is usually fatal when it affects both kidneys. Infants that do survive typically have one functioning kidney but require dialysis and a kidney transplant.

Hyland explains to Seventeen her lifelong battle came to an extremely serious turn when she was in need of a kidney transplant. Her dad, actor Edward James Hyland, came to the rescue and Hyland reveals the ordeal brought her entire family and friends closer together. One of the best lessons Sarah says she learned was knowing who she can really count on to support her.

"You know that family is always going to be there for you — no matter what. My dad gave me a freakin' kidney!" She goes on, "But it's also the families that you create outside of your family. And you really find out what kind of people you're friends with. It was just amazing, and it really opened my eyes to see who's there for me and who's not." Hyland says later on, "There are people who came out of the woodwork, not because it was 'Oh hey, congratulations on your show winning an Emmy.' No it was, 'Hey, I'm here for you.'"

Sarah Hyland told Seventeen she is grateful for all of the support she receives and feels happy to be alive. "I have a second chance at life, not a lot of people get that."

Chris Colfer's talents go way beyond Glee

$

Chris Colfer is spending his summer break from Glee wisely -- he's busy writing scripts! His first foray into screenwriting, Struck by Lightning, was just snapped up by Tribeca Film.

Chris Colfer in Struck by Lightening

Chris Colfer is one of those rare quadruple threats in Hollywood: He can sing, dance, act — and write! The Glee cutie wrote the screenplay for Struck by Lightning— and Tribeca Film has just picked it up for distribution after it earned a standing ovation at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in April.

The film — directed by Brian Dannelly and co-starring Christina Hendricks, Sara Hyland and The Office's Angela Kinsey — centers around the life of high school senior Carson Phillips , a bright student who was on the path to greatness when he's killed by a lightning bolt in the school parking lot.

"Demonstrating that life is what happens while you’re busy planning your future, Carson recounts the last few weeks of his life via witty, insightful flashbacks, including a blackmail scheme targeting the popular kids in school that he concocts with his best friend," Tribeca writes of the plot. The film also co-stars Dermot Mulroney as his estranged father and Allison Janney as his mother.

Struck by Lightning will get a late 2012 theatrical release. It'll also be available at the same time via on-demand platforms like iTunes, VUDU, Amazon, Xbox and Samsung Media Hub.

Does Colfer have what it takes to carry a full-length feature? Totally, judging by his likeability in the Fox musical sitcom. Plus, he shows a maturity way beyond his 22 years by penning this somewhat-autobiographical take on high school. Mostly, Colfer wanted to turn the tables on the way people grieve by making his character dead for most of the film.

Lea Michele tears up over season four return to Glee>>

"One of the biggest things I wanted to do is have a character call these people out on their fake grief and mourning," he told NPR in April. "I mean, how many times are we at someone's funeral and someone speaks at the podium, and we think, 'Oh my God, they're such a liar, they never knew them like I knew them, they weren't as close as they're saying they are.' I think one of my character's lines in the movie is, 'It's amazing how popular you become once you die.' I just thought it'd be a great way to tell a story, from the perspective of being dead."

Sofia Vergara is engaged and proud! How proud? Very, judging from her wide smile and huge, huge engagement ring.

Sofia Vergara shows off engagement ring

If there was any doubt that Modern Family Star Sofia Vergara is engaged, it's gone now. The 40-year-old actress showed off her huge rock — seen here— from on-again, off-again boyfriend Nick Loeb while out and about in Los Angeles earlier this week.

Sofia Vergara to appear on Family Guy >>

Loeb proposed to Vergara during her birthday celebration in Mexico in July. The actress' son, Manolo, and a few of her ABC co-stars were there to help her ring in a new decade and a new life as an engaged woman.

One of the co-stars on the trip — Sarah Hyland— told US Weekly that the proposal was a shock for everyone.

"It was crazy because there were actually two tours of the ruins and I was on the English tour and Sofia was on the Spanish tour, so I didn't really know until we all met back up together," Hyland recalled.

Loeb proposed on top of some Mayan ruins in Chichen Itza. "It was a very exciting time, her whole family was there so it was fun."

Sofia Vergara beats out Kim K. as the highest-paid TV actress >>

Manolo even caught the whole thing on tape for his YouTube mockumentary, Mi Vida Con Toty. He never comments on the actual engagement, just that the tour of the Mayan pyramid was one of his mom's dreams.

"Then one of my mom's dreams came true. As a little girl, she always wanted to go to the top of the pyramids. Unfortunately, people are not allowed to do that anymore. But since it was her birthday, her team worked for months on end to get her special permission to go up!"the 20-year-old aspiring filmmaker said.

Sofia Vergara is the hottest woman ever, men say >>

Vergara has never directly said she's engaged, but Hyland pretty much confirmed it when she revealed what she's getting her co-stars as a wedding gift.

"I'm probably something kinky!" she joked.

Sarah Hyland might be super-busy — she's got that little role on Modern Family, after all. It doesn't mean she doesn't have time for a little fun, too!

Sarah hyland talks girl gaming

We all gasped when Modern Family star Sarah Hyland showed up on the 2012 Emmys red carpet wearing a dress that she co-designed with Marchesa. Turns out, this stunner loves everything about fashion: She loves wearing it, obviously — her favorite go-to piece this fall is a big sweater — and she loves playing fashion designer both for herself and for virtual girls on her Nintendo 3DS.

Casting alert: Modern Family casts Sarah Hyland's boyfriend >>

Hyland, 22, is one of the new spokeswomen for the Play As You Are campaign, launched this month by Nintendo of America. The idea is to show girls — and us, ahem, older ladies — that's it's ok to game.

"My earliest memories are of playing Super Nintendo," Hyland told SheKnows. "I grew up playing Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart."

These days, the girl known as Hayley Dunphy likes to focus her gaming squarely on the fashion world, namely the new Nintendo 3DS games Style Savvy: Trendsetters and Sparkle Snapshots.

The games sounded like something the Barbie set would love, though Hyland told us it's really for older girls.

Sarah Hyland reveals shocking medical struggle >>

"In Style Savvy: Trendsetters, you own your own boutique and help customers pick out things," she told us of the game released on Oct. 22. "You can experiment with over 12,000 clothing items for yourself, too."

Not your scene? Sparkle Snapshots is more photo-based.

"In Sparkle Snapshots, you can play with a photo studio and edit the photos with glasses and sparkles and other fun designs," Hyland said. "You can take it as far as sending the pictures to other friends who have a 3DS."

Will this get girls on board with gaming? Hyland hopes so.

"I was so into gaming, but there weren't many options for younger girls," she told us. Sounds like there are a couple more choices for girls, though we'll always balance our fashion games with some good old-fashioned shooter games. Who says girls can't shoot, too?

Exclusive: Sarah Hyland, Allyson Felix at Giving Awards

The Modern Family star and Olympic gold medalist are among a star-studded list of celebrities who will celebrate average folks with big hearts on NBC Dec. 8.

Sarah Hyland at Trevor Live

In an exclusive for SheKnows.com, Chase announced today that Modern Family star Sarah Hyland and Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix will be among the presenters at the American Giving Awards, airing on NBC Saturday, Dec. 8 9/8c.

The awards will be hosted by Joel McHale, star of NBC's Community; other presenters include Gary Sinise , Jenna Elfman , Jamie-Lynn Sigler , Jenna Fischer and Anthony Anderson .

Colbie Caillat, Darius Rucker and Lifehouse with Natasha Bedingfield will also perform sets at the awards show.

So what are the American Giving Awards? This is only the second year of the show, so you're forgiven if you haven't heard of them yet. The awards show honors charitable organizations and philanthropists.

This year, the AGA Leadership Award winner is Glenn Close, for her work with the nonprofit she founded, BringChange2Mind. Close's sister and nephew both have mental illnesses, and BringChange2Mind works to lessen the stigma for those who likewise suffer from mental disorders.

Viewers may have heard of BringChange2Mind, as three years ago Ron Howard directed a PSA on mental illness starring Close and her family members. That PSA was broadcast widely. ABC's The View, among others, ran it as part of a segment on Close.

Other charities will be honored for their good works. Five charities will even split $2 million in grants from Chase. Charities in the running include the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation, which helps severely disabled people learn to communicate using the iPad, and Half the Sky, which hopes to win a grant to open homes for Chinese orphans.

Gosh, kinda makes other, more prurient awards shows seem a little icky. MTV's Movie Award categories include "Best On-Screen Dirtbag" and "Best Kiss." Huh.

Friday's Fashion Obsessions: Lea Michele and Sarah Hyland

Lea Michele and Sarah Hyland's beautiful celebrity styles made us do a double take this week! We're telling you why in this week's installment of Friday’s Fashion Obsessions.

Lea Michele

Lea Michele

I'm not sure what's going on with the funky facial expression Lea Michele has here, but I can say that her dress is fab. The Glee star showed up to the 2013 Miss Golden Globe Awards this week looking fashionable as always in Valentino.

The nude gown seems to melt into Lea's skin tone — in a good way — and she kept the rest of her look pretty neutral as well. One small critique: Those earrings are a tad distracting, Lea. The dress is stunning on its own, so next time maybe opt for a bit less ear bling?

The final verdict? In looking at other pics from the night, it seems like Miss Lea Michele is trying a bit too hard to pose like a certain other celeb but I still love her! The girl knows how to dress for her body and that's something we could all learn from.

Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland

Looks like I'm kind of obsessed with Sarah Hyland this week! The Modern Family actress made our Celeb Hairstyle of the Week feature and also scored herself a spot on the best dressed list thanks to the gorgeous pink Erin by Erin Fetherston dress she wore to a Trevor Project event this week.

I just had to show you the back of this dress because it totally makes the whole look! Bows can be hard to pull off without looking like you're a child, but since these cute, shimmery bows make their appearance on the back of the dress, they're more of a sweet surprise than a tacky afterthought.

The final verdict? Sarah looks sweet, classy and fashion-forward! I love her hair and makeup too. Nice job, girl!

We have a total crush on Sarah Hyland's chic 'do. Find out why in this week's installment of Celeb Hairstyle of the Week!
Sarah Hyland

We're obsessed!

We have a total crush on Sarah Hyland's chic 'do. Find out why in this week's installment of Celeb Hairstyle of the Week!

Is it just me or is Sarah Hyland absolutely adorable? She seriously does not look like she's 22 years old! The Modern Family actress showed up to a Trevor Project event this week rocking a totally adorable updo that I can't really get out of my mind. It has the perfect amount of height and ever-so-carefully placed wispy strands, don't you think?

And that makeup. I was crushing on it so hard I just had to find out how she got the look! I asked Sarah's makeup artist/hairstylist, Kelsey Deenihan, for a breakdown of the entire look so you can steal it at home! You can thank me later.

Get the hair look

"Sarah's hair was inspired by the '60s look we were going for!" Kelsey says.

  1. I started with the hair in a tight high ponytail.
  2. Next I took sections of the ponytail and rolled them forward with my fingers and pinned underneath.
  3. I then took the next sections on the sides and rolled them outward, toward me. And the back sections I rolled under.
  4. Pinning the sections around the pony created a full, "effortless" bun.
  5. I finished with a little hairspray and she was out the door. This is a great look if you have limited time but want a very specific look. It's easy!

Get the makeup look

"Sarah said her pink Erin by Erin Fetherston dress reminded her of Jackie O and all things '60s. The bows on the back of the dress inspired us to keep her look youthful with a messy top bun and rock out '60s style with the heavy winged liner."

  1. I started by applying Koh Gen Do Moisture foundation in 023 all over Sarah's face, starting with the product in the center of her face and blending outward.
  2. I wanted to keep the skin fresh and youthful, so I didn't want to powder over the foundation and matte her down too much. In keeping with powder-free skin, I opted for a creme blush on Sarah. I used La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream Blush in Rose Glow for a pinch of color.
  3. Next I applied Chanel cream eyeshadow in Vision all over Sarah's lids. The small gold flecks catch the light, making the eyes sparkle.
  4. Under the lower lash line I applied Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in Bourbon and blended it with a small brush allowing the product to blend out and not create such a harsh line.
  5. I applied Bobbi Brown black gel eyeliner with a small angled brush to Sarah's top lash line — extending the liner out and slightly upward allowed us to stay true to our '60s inspiration.
  6. I topped the eyes off with two very generous coats of L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black on both the top and bottom lashes.
  7. I lined the lips with NARS Tonga and added a coat of Chanel Lipgloss # 297 in Sweet Beige. The milky pink beige was the perfect complement to her dramatic liner without competing for attention.

Friday's Fashion Obsessions: Sarah Hyland and Lisa Rinna

Sarah Hyland and Lisa Rinna's beautiful celebrity styles made us do a double take this week! We're telling you why in this week's installment of Friday’s Fashion Obsessions.

Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland is becoming quite the regular fixture on Friday's Fashion Obsessions. This week, she blew me away with the tres adorable dress she wore to the LA premiere of Struck By Lightning.

This dress gives new meaning to the phrase "Business in the front, party in the back." No seriously, the super cute tail — for lack of a better word here — is so fun. Now I know a lot of you might disagree — the look is a bit bridal, after all — but I think it's refreshing to see a young star taking subtle fashion risks. With all the Ke$has and Lady Gagas out there these days, it's nice to see that young starlets don't have to show off their scantily clad bodies to make a fashion statement.

The final verdict? The look is super chic from head to toe — except those shoes. They look a size too big for petite Hyland. But we'll let that slide.

Lisa RinnaLisa Rinna

Now this is how to do black on black on black, ladies: Add a pop of color! Whether you choose red, yellow or pink like Lisa Rinna did here, this is the perfect way to avoid looking like you're heading to a funeral.

What I love the most about this outfit is the fact that it's totally easy to recreate. Think about it: Most women have a pair of glossy black pumps, a colorful blazer, a sequined black top and black pants. If you're missing any of the items in your wardrobe, don't run out to the mall so fast. You can always substitute leather pants with shiny black leggings and a long black tunic if you have to improvise. And swap out the pink blazer for a super cute and colorful sweater or cropped jacket.

The final verdict? Simple, sexy and classy. Loving it!

Megan Hilty vs Katharine McPhee

Smash star Katharine McPhee made us do a double take when she walked the red carpet in her daring Theyskens' Theory gown, co-star Megan Hilty also struck a chord in her red Novis dress.

Winner: McPhee. Too many stars opted for red for the Golden Globes, while McPhee took a fashion risk with her look.

Julie Bowen and Ariel Winter

The four main ladies on Modern Family— Sofia Vergara, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter and Julie Bowen— all know how to work the red carpet, but only one can win this fashion face-off. So, who's it going to be? Vergara was her typical sexy self in a black Michael Cinco gown, while Hyland went full sex kitten in her Max Azria Atelier gown and bombshell hair.

Bowen and Winter, on the other hand, went the safer route in their Halston and Valentino gowns, respectively.

Winner: It's a tie. They both look fab.

New Girl stars Zooey Deschanel and Hannah Simone went for drastically different looks at the Golden Globes. We love, love, love Deschanel's custom Prada dress, but Simone also looked amazing in her glam gray gown.

From Tina Fey's sweetheart halter to Amy Poehler's navel-grazing neckline, the attire at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards seemed to suggest that 2013 may just be the year of cleavage. Check out how the following stacked stars gave new meaning to "golden globes."

Not every woman can pull off a pixie cut, but here are two who can. With nearly identical delicate bone structure, Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan could easily pass as sibs. If Sam Raimi decides to make more than one Oz pic, we vote he casts Carey as Michelle’s secret witch sister.

Paging the Pussycat Dolls… we’ve found your new lead singer! Nicole Scherzinger stays busy these days, so her former band needs someone to fill her sexy shoes. We think Puerto Rican beauty Roselyn Sanchez — Rush Hour 2, Without a Trace — could seamlessly squeeze into your lead singer spot.

Actress Morena Baccarin

Actress Ashley Judd

Morena Baccarin and Ashley Judd

Wynonna may be Ashley Judd’s half-sister, but Brazilian actress Morena Baccarin could be the Kiss the Girls star’s twin. Currently starring in the Showtime hit Homeland, Morena mirrors Ashley’s chiseled nose, brunette locks, and million-dollar smile. Maybe the Judds could use a backup singer?

Actress Portia de Rossi

Actress Drea de Matteo

Portia de Rossi and Drea de Matteo

Sure, Drea de Matteo and Portia de Rossi both have naturally curly tresses and lovely almond-shaped eyes. But physical similarities aren’t all these two have in common — both starred in cult classics. Drea won an Emmy for her role on HBO’s The Sopranos, and Portia played a lawyer on Ally McBeal.

Actor Elias Koteas

Christopher Meloni and Elias Koteas

If you’re like us, you too feel bummed out about Christopher Meloni leaving Law & Order: SVU. So, how about this? Producers should give Elias Koteas a call! The actor, best known as Casey Jones in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movies, could play Elliot’s brother who becomes Olivia’s new partner.

Actress Amy Adams

Actress Isla Fisher

Amy Adams and Isla Fisher

Do you ever get mistaken for someone else? Annoying, right? Well, welcome to the world of Amy Adams and Isla Fisher. These redheaded beauties are confused for each other so often, we’re starting to wonder if they were separated at birth or something. It's high time they star as sisters in a movie!

The story of Bonnie and Clyde is alive and well. Lifetime is producing a mini-series based on the infamous couple. They recently added a new star to the cast, which includes a mix of veterans and up and comers.

Sarah Hyland

The Lifetime/History Channel is fleshing out Bonnie & Clyde. Their four-part miniseries based on the criminal couple has added another Barrow. Modern Family'sSarah Hyland has joined the cast.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hyland will play Blanche Barrow. She's the young wife of Clyde's brother Buck, as played by Lane Garrison . The rest of the clan includes Emile Hirsch as the infamous Clyde and The Borgias' Holliday Grainger as Bonnie Parker.

The cast also features two Oscar-winners in William Hurt and Holly Hunter. Hurt stars as Frank Hamer, "a Texas Ranger known for his involvement in tracking and killing the 1930s outlaws," while Hunter will play Bonnie's mom.

Since Bonnie & Clyde is a joint project, it will air on both Lifetime and the History Channel. It sounds as if they're trying to recreate the success of last year's Hatfields & McCoys. That was a huge hit for the History Channel, which charted the long-running feud between the two American families.

With the right execution, Bonnie & Clyde could be just as big. The couple's life and death is ingrained in pop culture. The most notable adaptation was the 1967 feature film with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway in the title roles.

Before Hyland tackles Barrow, she'll appear in this spring's Scary Movie 5. The actress has a supporting role inspired by the Evil Dead series. The film hits theaters April 12.

Modern Family starlet's style secrets

Sarah Hyland is the star of Ocean Pacific's summer line, which is totally cute and affordable. We hung out with her at an indoor pool party in NYC to hear about the line, her spring style must-haves and more!

Life's a beach for Sarah Hyland!

The Modern Family actress is one of the faces of Op's Spring/Summer campaign and she hosted an indoor pool party recently in NYC to celebrate and share her style advice.

Her biggest tip? "Dress to fit your figure," she told SheKnows. "I have really long legs and a really short torso, so I like to show off my legs more than my torso."

The 22-year-old also says you shouldn't be afraid to take some fashion risks. "I don't think you should be nervous about trying new trends. I think you should just be confident and bold in your decisions and so what if no one else is wearing it, as long as you think it's fun," she explained.

Sarah, who's petite, is currently loving platform sneakers for a casual, everyday look. "I have four pairs of wedge sneakers," she shared. "I want more. I'm 5'2"... I need all the help I can get. They're all super comfortable."

She's also learned that dressing down can be hot, thanks to her on-screen mom Julie Bowen. "Tomboys can be sexy, too," Sarah told us. Even though she can sometimes embrace her inner tomboy, at the end of a long day filming on set, Sarah likes to make sure her face is super clean. "I'm obsessed with Neutrogena makeup remover wipes," she says of her beauty must-have. "I always have been. That's the only way I clean my face!"

When asked what her favorite red carpet look so far was, Sarah described her 2013 SAG award dress to us. "I wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress," she shared. "It was purple and it just brought out the green in my eyes. It was sexy but really elegant and classic at the same time."

be confident and bold
in your decisions.

Sarah says she's not afraid to repeat outfits, just like Kate Middleton. "I still wear clothing that I wore freshman year of high school," she confessed. "I haven't grown much. I am the biggest repeat outfit offender of all. Once I find a good outfit, I wear it for like days and hope I don't see the same person twice in a row."

Not that you'd need to repeat clothes with the Op collection, which retails exclusively at Walmart. Considering how reasonably priced the line is , you can afford to buy a bunch of pieces to last you all summer long!
